Medical Review Officer (MRO)

When the drug test results or the alcohol tests results come back from the laboratory, someone must make the judgments about prescription medications and/or illegal or controlled medications. That person is the MRO. The Medical Review Officer for WWA is Dr. Gene Burke. A licensed Internist with a specialty in addiction medicine. Dr. Burke is certified by the Medical Review Officer Certification Council and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
